CERIMÔNIA DE ABERTURA RIO2030
Após três décadas da Rio-92, a cerimônia realizada no Dia Mundial da Água, simbolizou a abertura oficial da Rio2030. O evento promovido pela Águas do Rio em parceria com o Governo do Estado contou com uma projeção mapeada no monumento do Cristo Redentor com a temática da Água, imagens inéditas da biodiversidade da Baía de Guanabara e dos ODS (Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável) ao som da Orquestra Maré do Amanhã.
Na ocasião, o Governo lançou o Calendário Oficial de Eventos da Rio2030 para o ano de 2022 e assinou uma parceria com a ONU-Habitat, com o objetivo de ajudar os municípios fluminenses a tornarem-se mais resilientes, seguros, verdes e sustentáveis.
WHAT IS IT?
A platform that activates, mobilizes and engages social actors such as the government, the private sector, academia and
civil society in the design and implementation of
solutions regarding the challenges of the 2030 Agenda,
creating scalable and replicable models for other cities in the world, starting from the state of Rio de Janeiro.
We understand that the answer to the challenges of sustainability lies in the integration of knowledge and the ability to act on the part of society as a whole.
WHY DOES IT EXIST?

Recover one of the most beautiful natural heritages in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Universalize the supply of water and sewage to around 10 million people in the next 12 years.
Re-signify the relationship of municipalities and the population of their surroundings with the Bay.
Put into practice actions of the Strategic Plan for Integrated Urban Development - PEDUI, making it bathable again.
